Joanna's journey into esthetics began at the intersection of science and beauty. Raised in both Poland and the United States, her early interest in cosmetics and European skincare rituals took root long before she understood the skin itself.

She still remembers stepping into U.S. beauty aisles for the first time, sensing that there was more to discover beneath the surface.

While on a path to medical school, Joanna completed a bachelor's degree in biology and gained hands-on experience in healthcare. It was her own personal skin challenges that redirected her focus, drawing her deeper into the study of skin physiology, ingredients and corrective treatments.

Determined to truly understand the skin, Joanna earned her Esthetician License and immersed herself in advanced education at the International Dermal Institute. She continued to train across major skincare hubs, including Chicago, Los Angeles and New York City. Her love of travel also carried her abroad, where she refined her perspective and deepened her understanding of global skincare philosophies.

After relocating to the east coast in 2013, Joanna stepped into the Lead Esthetician role at the renowned Rescue Spa in Philadelphia. Under the guidance of industry icon Danuta Mieloch, she helped mentor emerging estheticians while solidifying her reputation as a trusted authority known for her artistry, results and integrity.

Nearly a decade later, with a devoted clientele and a waitlist that spoke for itself, Joanna knew it was time to start the next chapter and follow her dream.

In 2021, she opened Skin Devotee Facial Studio in Rittenhouse Square. Amidst the chaos of a pandemic, it became a private sanctuary grounded in resilience, intention and mastery.

What sets Joanna apart is her rare blend of scientific expertise, meticulous attention to detail and insight gained from working alongside industry trailblazers. Through this lens, she has learned that true skin transformation and excellence can only be achieved through consistency.
